You know............
That actually looks pretty good....... I remember seeing that years back and being turned off with it. But that looks pretty good. I think it was made by that french company Jacquomond ?????? or something wacky like that.

I like it.
Overcomes one of the few design flaws of the original.

Yeah, i would have sworn it was jacquesmond.com. I came across these a few months ago. He has some REALLY cool stuff for 944s, but it's pretty damn expensive, as you'd expect. Wish i could find the site.

I could make that...
What flaw does it overcome? I don't think I would like the loss of visibillity.

The red one has a little bit of ferrari style in it, I like it.. but I still wouldn't be able to see anything out of that little window.

Much like I said with the wide body fenders...if someone had money, cash in hand, ready to purchase (pending I can whip up something appealing) I'd be glad to take something like this on.
I estimate that the framing and polyester body of a piece like those above (if I made them) would weigh roughly 25lbs. What's the stock glass hatch weigh?

This is what a fellow PCN member did. I don't like it, but the owner does, and that is what matters.

I wouldn't call it rice, but it does look out of place - definitely an aftermarket and tacked-on appearance.
