Where is my paint code?

I thought it was in the spare tire compartment.. but it isn't. I need to repair some damage on the front drivers side.. the plastic peice, I'm not sure what the proper name for it is.

I just saw that on mine somewhere (not near the spare tire). Sticker inside driver's door jam maybe? Sticker under hood? Just a guess.

944 paint code

If you still have your owners manual packet look in the warranty and maintenance book. Right inside the front cover is the white label that 952 is talking about and there is your paint code. Under the hood you may find a label that tells you what the color is called but no paint code. If the white label in the tire well is gone these are your choices.

Engine bay is same color.. Maybe like, half a shade darker. I'm not sure if it's been repainted..

According to clark's garage, that was an option in 87...

On my 84, it says under the hood toward the driver's side of the firewall. It has the name and number for the paint. LM3V Rubenrot metallic.
SOmewhere on Rennlist there was a chart showing what colors were made each year.

Sticker is under hood, just to the right of the fuse/relay box.
