valve ticking noise ok?

I hear a light vlave ticking noise, only when the hood is open, since I've had the car - is this normal?

What your hearing is more likely the fuel injectors, they seem to be extra noisy on these cars, don't worry, its fine!

I agree with Mac, my 951 was really loud and i replaced the lifters, but there was still some ticking. Just the injectors.

Use a long screwdriver, or a stethoscope, I'm about 90% sure it's the injectors.

They're awfully loud on these cars. Spent 2 weeks chasing an exhaust leak, turned out it was the injectors echoing under the car!

really the fuel injectors make a ticking noise - I assumed they were just silent - is it as they pulse?

the injectors can make a clicking noise.

there is a difference in noise between injector click and noisy lifters, al-beit very subtle.

I'd bet noisy lifters

Well, if this helps at all, injectors make "tick" noise

Lifters make more of a "clack".

The fuel injectors sound like mis-adjusted rocker arms. The lifter clatter sounds much worse.
