Re-installing lugs

Hi everyone,

I removed the lugs from my front hubs before sending the hubs out to be plastic-bead blasted.

I have the hubs back and need to get the lugs back in (they improve the ride a great deal!)

I have gotten two of the lugs back in using a hammer, but I have caused two or three very slight dings in the hubs.

I believe it is only a matter of time before I whack something really hard.

Is there an easier method for this and/or is this something a mechanic can do for me easily?

Thanks,

GHEN

do you mean the studs the lugs go on? if so just take them to a shop with a press and have them pressed in... or go to harbor freight and but a press, press them in and then return it and say it didnt work for what you wanted it to do.

Asking if you should replace that timing belt is like asking if you should re-use a condom that may have in hole in it with a hooker.

Or, get yourself a large vise and a deep 1 inch socket. Put the socket over the threads and use the vise to press the stud into the hub.
