Re-installing lugs
Hi everyone,
I removed the lugs from my front hubs before sending the hubs out to be plastic-bead blasted. I have the hubs back and need to get the lugs back in (they improve the ride a great deal!) I have gotten two of the lugs back in using a hammer, but I have caused two or three very slight dings in the hubs. I believe it is only a matter of time before I whack something really hard. Is there an easier method for this and/or is this something a mechanic can do for me easily? Thanks, GHEN

do you mean the studs the lugs go on? if so just take them to a shop with a press and have them pressed in... or go to harbor freight and but a press, press them in and then return it and say it didnt work for what you wanted it to do.

Or, get yourself a large vise and a deep 1 inch socket. Put the socket over the threads and use the vise to press the stud into the hub.
