Had a "heavy metal" knob on one of the Fiats back in the day. It turns out that a heavy mass on top of the shift stick is detrimental to the gearbox over time. IMHO, it's an expensive way to create a potential problem.

once you have a platinum clutch and platinum calipers, the next thing any reasonable personal would get is a platinum shifter, obviously.

I'd rather get a platinum-plated one for only $11,500.00. But that's just me.

Yeah, I was gonna say that a 3 pound mass sitting on the shifter 24/7 can't be good for the linkage or the tranny.

Yes because it would be virtually impossible for any other company to turn out a knob like this. Of couse there is the "TWM" nameplate that goes along with the knob that would be difficult to match. I know that when I think of high end performance luxury products I immediatly think of TWM. Im sure if RUF, AC Shnitzer or Momo would come out with something like this it just wouldnt "stack up' to the TWM product.

BARF!

Guys, you are missing the point!!

With all due respect, if you put a $75k dildo in your $10k car, how much action do you think you will get??? I have been in a significant relationship for over 20 years, but I know how to get a woman's attention. Think out of the box!!!!

I think we're all missing the point here.

How many extra HP does a platinum shifter give you?

well, two things come to mind! does the knob come with its own custom "sock", for protection? and if you wait a year or two, i'm sure that gas companys will be giving them away with every fill-up, due to the cost of gas !
bob.

I especially like the questions people asked the seller. $75K for a shifter? Does it come with a free car?
