Trailing arm eccentric adjustment results

After seeing like 60+ 944's in one place at 944Fest, I decided that I was probably the last guy on earth that had left his car at stock ride height. After speaking with several folks about the US bumper heights dictating a higher rear setting, I was inspiried to adjust the rear trailing arm eccentrics down to the ROW spec (i.e. more level).
I must say, I don't know why I waited 15 years to do this.....as it's all good
I've attached before & after pix to illustrate the resultant 1/2" drop in the rear.

Brian
(with the spare & jack in, the rear would sit a tad lower still...but both pix are with them removed)

Good looking, can earlier models also be lowered?, did the front go lower, can the front be adjusted?

rudidelange,

It seems to me that they can, but considering you're in the 'ROW' your car may already be at the lower eccentric setting in the rear
Anyway, I measured my Front height at the forward seam where the door intersects the rocker panel....and it remained at 6.5".
The Rear was measured at the rearward door seam, and went from 7.5" to 7".....so measuring at other points could yield different results.
On cars other than the '88 Turbo S, 1989+ 951 and the 944S2 models I believe you would need to play with front springs to change the height at that end.

Brian
