I hope everyone walked away, unless of course, someone stole it and did that, in which case, I hope they died slow painful deaths.

Clearly, the car got up in the air or was moving Waaaaay too fast for the road\conditions (looks dry though) - it is harder than hell to get these cars to flip.

Also illustrates how much of a hit these cars can take.

I'll be posting more pics tonight. In a nutshell, some idiot changed lanes, clipping my right rear. Spun me out at about 70 on the freeway. I hit the curb and went backwards through the Long Beach sign, which popped me up onto my side and I came to a stop about 10 feet away against the tree you see. I stepped down onto the passenger side door and walked out through the shattered rear hatch, getting my only injury, a cut on my fore arm. Oh, yeah, and sore muscles from tensing up so hard.

Damn... Sorry for the loss. Glad to hear you're ok.

Saw the pics early and was trying to figure out how it happened as it looked like the back caught the worst of it.

Nope, and neither did any else. There were about half a dozen cars that all dodged the whole incident. Only one 911 call, my father, after I called him.

All I know is the headlights were higher than my rear spoiler. So SUV, truck or van. And, it should have damage to the front left side.

Ahhhhh - people. Gotta love 'em.

Regardless, glad to hear that you're okay. What did the cops have to say?

do you think the city / state will be after you about the damage to the long beach sign? I know a girl that spun out on the highway and hit a barrier wall taking a chunk out of two wall sections and she got a bill in the mail from the city charging her, literally, just shy of $25,000.

Yeah, I have a feeling they will. I'll accept any contributions to help get another 9?4, and to help pay for the sign (a friend that works for the city is going to try to let me have the sign, if I have to pay for it). The cops wrote it up as excessive speed, because there were no witnesses to corroberate my story.
