bad fpr?
I finally got a chance to work on my firebird before to try to fix my "hot idle pinging" and poor gas milage. I figured i would try disconnecting the fpr and sure enough i finally seen some improvement. When you disconnect a fpr does that give you more or less fuel pressure? and can this have been the reason my car went through 3 new fuel pumps?

you usually get more fuel pressure.
that is not the likely cause of bad fuel pumps (at least on a porsche) AFJ
