Dan Wray (aka Iceshark) has passed away.

I just heard about it on Rennlist. Here is his obituary: http://www.legacy.com/StarTribune/LegacySubPage2.asp?Page=LifeStory&PersonID=15234313.

In case you don't know Iceshark, he was very active on both Rennlist and Pelican and really enthusiastic about the 944's. Best known for manufacturing Iceshark light cannons that really made our headlights bright.

I miss him already... So long, Dan. And thanks for all your help.

This is sad news. I have bought things from Dan over the years.

Condolences to his family. They sometimes do not even know how extensive their friendships are in a place like this.

This is awful! any details what happened? I was just thinking about him the other day (as I was driving home in the dark, wishing I was in the Porsche because its headlights are so awesome) Didn't know him other than I bought stuff from him, but he seemed to be really willing to share info, knowledge, etc. and he definitely took care of me when I got a bad Transpo regulator from him. I know that's not a lot but I really got the impression that he was a genuinely nice guy. I am sure he will be missed.

Terrible news - he was one of the few people that's REALLY dedicated to these cars and to good old fashioned business models - that is an excellent and well-crafted product at a fair price, and excellent customer service. Any of these is a rarity in and of itself these days; to find all three is truly exceptional!

He will be missed for sure.

I got up this morning, read the posts about Dan's passing. I'm shocked, and very saddened by this news. He will be missed very much in the Porsche community! The light cannons I installed in my '85/1 Granite Red car, made this car even more delightful for me. It now makes me feel that its just that much more precious to me. My condolences to his family, and I'll sure miss all his contributions.

If you go to the site mentioned in the initial post, you can sign the condolances book. Never met the man personally, but appreciated his assistance over the 'net.

I thought his family might like to know he had "friends" all over the world.

Dan was truly one of the good guys.

He has helped me in the past......and I proudly own his product.

He was a class act. Truly sad. I am very shocked.

What I find most shocking is how I am actually affected by someone that I have never met but have these feelings for.

Thank you for all of your advice.

My condolances to his family, friends and loved ones....

Dan you will be truly missed.

Oh no!

Dan was the expert on all things electrical. I was hoping to buy his kit next year.

I'm very sad to hear that he has passed. Very sad.
