The wires to my 02 sensor broke off, and I found and 02 sensor from a late 80s 944 ( I have an early 85), the sensors cannot be interchanged, so I was going to splice the wires to use this sensor. Does anyone know if this will work?
Also, when I first got my p-car it came in pieces and needed a new clutch. I've put a new clutch in, and when I completed the assembly I noticed the shifter seemed off, it has not been driven yet. Whenever I shift into gear I can also rotate the shifter in a circular motion. Is this normal? I saw similar action on another p-car I found in a junkyard, so I don't know. Thanks

You only need the one wire to the center of the O2 sensor. This is the one that goes to the orange connector on the firewall.
The others are for a pre-heating element. Not necessary except to pass smog tests in some states. Check that your shifter linkage on the trans is connected properly. Also the pin that sticks out the side of the shift lever will wear.
