well then how does my car go from running but dme relay goes out, to hardly running then not running at all. on top of that he egged my friends car at 11pm yesterday. my gauge gauge jumps, usually 2mm ish now and then, i have a 1/4 tank more fluid in there then i had before.

before : gas gauge was below 1/4 tank line, now its almost to the half. hopefully i can find a witness of him doing this so i can mail him a bill.

cause think of it, i started my car when i got back at 6, ran great for maybe 20 seconds, then idle was bogging, i had to floor it to keep an idle and it was spurting black smoke, my belts are all fine, if the dme relay failed the car wouldnt not have even moved, i know the fuel pump was running i could hear it, i just have a feeling it was pumping diluted gas.

im angry, i know this all sounds unreal and im being paranoid but trust me, this kid has got it in for me.

if you are worried about it, find a way to either sleep in the car or have it moved to your house. You'll be better able to figure out what's wrong with it and you won't have to worry about damn kids.

I had similar symptoms.

I noticed in your photo that your vaccuum lines to the throttle body are reversed. The front angled nipple on the TB goes ONLY to the angled nipple on the thermal vaccuum switch under the intake between runners 3 & 4. Your photo shows this nipple on the TB connected to a tee. The rear straight nipple on the TB goes to a tee and from there to the FPR, FPD and the EVAP CVII. This means no manifold vaccuum to the FPR resulting in fuel pressure that is too high. The condition you describe is made worse with an old/failing FPR.

Mine was just a bad FPR.

If this does not help, try disconnecting and plugging the 10mm vaccuum from the EVAP CVII. If that helps, you have a bad diaphragm in the EVAP CVII or ON/OFF valve.

btw, i did get my car pushed into a gated parking lot (surrounded by 12 foot walls) and got it locked, last night around 10, took me and 2 buddies.

but yes, as paranoid as this sounds im speaking realistically, i dont know why this kid hates me but whatever you know its comin out of his pocket.

i think i just might be able to blame the need of a full rebuild on this... (ex: no fuel, starved engine, piston rings are fried, etc. you followin me here?) i wouldnt be suprised if this roughened up the internals a bit anyways...

and nynor - i have no plans sunday but am still thinking about what to do, my friend said if my tank isnt that full just fill it with some premium and put some octane booster in there, but either way, diluted gas wont be good for your car no matter what way it comes.

im still so peeved about this.

oh ya and onZedge - im having a hard time following what your saying, i didnt post a pic of my lnes yet but am going to next time im at home just to make sure nothing is switched around you know? that will probably be late tonite or early tomorrow

do you think he put water in there? i would be looking for sand or sugar at the fuel cap area, if i really thought someone had mess with my fuel.

Well, regardless of what he put in there (if anything at all), it's best to drain the fuel and look at it. If there is water in there, it will show up in the bucket you drain into. Take a hose and syphon (sp?) the gas into a large bucket and see what you are looking at before you pull the tank to drain it. Of course you can always use a pump to drain it as well. Decide what to do after you take a look at the gas. I agree with Nynor though...if I was going to mess with someones gas...it would be sugar or sand. Maybe time to order a locking gas cap.

Just pull the fuel line off the bottom of the tank. A lot easier than droping the tank or pumping it out.

You can slap me for this if you like, but are you sure the fuel filter's not on backwards?

P.S. Had my car egged years ago while parked in front of a girlfriend's place. Made me absolutley livid!! Her school friends hated me because of the car... I know how you feel.

GOD!!!! as if **** wasnt bad enough already, all 4 tires are now flat. car has well over 20 eggs on it. it was pushed into a locked parking lot and everything, 12 ft brick walls and a gate, there is a gap under the gate when its closed (large gap) i think thats how he got in... anyways hes off now with my inner valve stems.

on another note, the area were it is sitting is being watched by a camera. i just talked to the school cop and filled out a report, hes gonna see if he can get anything from the past few days and let me know.

pokey - i think i might try and pull that hose off the bottom of the tank to let the gas drain out, is this hose gonna come out easy or is this another "oh man its gonna break" right as it comes off sort of thing? i was gonna syphon it out but thought it would be best if i could drain the tank from the bottom. i checked around the gas cap and saw what looks like dirt, sort of alot of it so i think thats what im looking at here.

i guess i might want to get new valve stems and inflate my tires first.. think of those poor side walls.

my life could be a sitcom i swear.

[edit] razorback - yes, a locking gas cap seems like an awesome investment right about now. that might be the next thing i buy.. next to valve stems.

that would certainly cause the car to run very poorly.

Pull the hose off the fuel pump end, so you can direct where the gas goes. It should come off pretty easily, but if it does crack or rip, no big loss, it's just cheap fuel hose from your local auto parts store.
