951 Caliper rebuilding & painting source?
Anyone know a reputable source to paint and rebuild 951 calipers?

Some would say you're almost better to pickup a set of calipers as opposed to rebuilding...944 prices being what they are these days that seems to be the way to go with most parts.

The rebuild kits were about $2 per caliper for my 944 and are pretty easy to install. I just painted them with high temp spray paint. I'm sure someone out there offers this service if you don't want to do it yourself.

Get high temp paint from your local autostore.. its made by Duplicolor.
Buy the rebuild kit from any of the major 944 distributors.. 944Online.com is a good one. Do everything you can to NOT damage the pistons. They are expensive, $20-30 EACH. Times 16 pistons total.. you are looking at about $300 you can save if you are CAREFUL removing them.

I've got these guys to rebuild (and powdercoat) a pair of problematic TurboS calipers before. Goldline Brakes --- I think I paid close to $200 for the job....
