the 944 vs 951 is like driving a MG (talk about loud and uncomfortable) to a miata (less loud and uncomfortable)

that said, the miata and MG are similar chassis styles (both convertibles as well), and the 944 and 951 are VERY similar chassis styles

I used to own an MG and it sucked except for in the curves. The 928 is one heck of a great car...and fast also. However, a good 951 will certainly give it a run for its money...and probably beat it out to 100mph...and in the curves. But from 100mph to 150mph, I'm not so sure. I can get from 100 to 147mph REAL FAST in my '85S and that's just in 4th Gear! I've not had the S4 on the track yet so I don't know how it'll perform.

I've always been a 928 fan. Actually, it was the car that got me into Porsches.

951s seem to be holding their value well....and because of their performance reputation probably will for some time to come. 968s may hold their value well by virtue of the very small numbers made and it was the pinnacle of the 944 legacy. 928s....jury is still out. The GTs will do well, value wise, but continue to drop as miles mount up and the GTS was made in such small numbers that the values will be high for a while, especially for the lo mile collector cars. I like them all. Even the 911s but I really don't plan on buying a rear engined car at this point.
