Voltage and Temp gauge are sparatic?
They bounce when I press the brakes...
The batt gauge reads incredible low, and the temp gauge sometimes reads about right, sometimes really really high (but the overheat warning doesnt come on, and I'm *positive* it wasn't overheating) When I shut the car off, the temp gauge pegs itself on the top peg. Whiskey tango hotel? Thanks guys, -Alex

I think my temp gauge is shorting and I think the battery has a bad ground, maybe both on both, maybe the problems or gauges are switched, either way, anyone know where the location of the ground and the pickup are for the battery and the temp gauge?
Thanks, -Alex

There are seven (I think) ground places on the car and they all need to be cleaned periodically. Do a search here and you will find a detailed diagram of all of them. If you can't find it, let me know and I'll look for you. Doesn't sound like a short to me...sounds like more of a ground issue. A short will usually blow a fuse.

Check Clarks guide elect-19 (for Gauge Trouble shooting)
I think your ground is either on the firewall up under dash, or under fuse panel. (you have to remove from bracket to check)
