Rust on sills

Chaps, as the weather was a little better yesterday i managed to get my 924 martini jacked up and have a good look around the underside.
Now i jacked it up on the driver side center jack point and i can see there's bad rust holes about 2 or 3 inches along either side of the jacking point.I've never had to repair sills on anything before so can anyone give me any ideas what would need to come out - the whole section including jack point maybe?
The rust isn't visible from the outside of the car only underneath.
I'll be removing the carpets today to see if the floor pan is affected but at the moment it looks like the jacking point area.
Not too dissapointed as i was expecting some welding being to be done but is it a big job?

That's an odd place for rust to appear: the jacking area is part of the floorplan, not the sill.

I had rear wheelarch/ rear sills issues on my 924S, both of which were horrid and needed new sections from Stuttgart (hey..it's only money), and to a lesser extent, there was some rust on the lower rear of the front wing (fender), but the floorplan is completely solid.
