Question Question about koni shocks

Are the KONI sport struts ok for a daily driver? (Just want a better ride and good handling) The ones I have now are stock and a little bouncy and have 200k miles.

See photo

yeah, they will work. they are stiffer. i'd start by setting them as soft as they will go. i've heard some complain about them being too stiff.

I liked having them on my old S2. Full soft for the street, and stiffened up for autocrossing.

Very nice ride, and I won a lot of autocrosses with that car.

I agree with Dantilla, mine are perfect for the street on the softest setting and I'm constantly winning autocrosses when I stiffen them up.

I just replaced my stock setup with Koni's (front & rear). They are definately stiffer but the ride is fine on the softest setting. The car handles much better.

I put the rears at the softest setting but I'm going to adjust them 1/2 way since they are much softer than the front - too bad I have to disconnect them to do it.

I have them on my 911 and I like them alot. Very easy to taylor the ride and help dial in over/under steer.

Are all the koni's adjustable? How can you tell?

And what does this mean
(quote seller "These are not the MO30s, but the sport shock option. ")

The M30 option had Koni Shocks/Struts and Sport Springs. The M474 option had stock springs and Koni Shocks/Struts.

The seller is telling you this because if you get the M30 version, you must use the sport springs (I believe the springs are a little shorter). The M30 version of Koni Shocks/Struts are the same shock but the spring perch is in a slightly different place.

Also, the Koni's in the photo above are adjustable. The front struts have a knob that is fitted to the top of the strut to make adjustments. (the knob is not shown in the photo) and is usually kept in the glove box. The Rear Koni's are adjustable too but the adjustment is set before installation. To adjust the rears, the shock must be fully compressed and then turned (i.e., the knob for adjusting is internal and can be adjusted only when the shock is fully compressed). The rear shocks will say "adjustable" stamped into the shock near the bottom.

I swapped complete struts for the M030 units. Well worth it.
