Spark Plug numbers ????
87 944 n/a..
Why is it on my emissions sticker in the engine compartment calls for the WR8DS spark plug, and on most all web sites they call for the WR7DC.. I think in the past I have put in the WR8DS (silver core spark plug, and about $12 a piece), but I always wondered why this difference.. Wouldn't you put the plug in that the emissions sticker says??? On Pelican, the WR8DS shows for the early model 944 (82-85) I noticed on the Bosch web site they list a WR78 Super 4..anyone know anything about this plug... it is brand new..might try them..check it out on the Bosch site.... |

'86 onwards 944 models (whether NA or 944S) use the WR7DC.
Porsche part number is 999 170 156 90

The WR7DC works great, is cheap, and you can tell by looking at it when it is worn out.
