Engine won't start
The engine would not start in the morning, the engine turns over, but nothing. Later that day, I get in and it cranks right up...wierd. The next morning no start. I check the fuel pump, and it's good. I check for spark, no spark. There is voltage at the coil when the key is on and I have voltage. It appears that the DME is not pulsing the coil. Which brings me to my question, How do you check the sensors from the bell housing that tell the DME to fire the coil?

Check on clarks-garage.com. They have the details on how to check the resistance of the speed and reference sensors. If you go under garage shop manual, then go down to trouble shooting, select engine, select "engine will rotate but wont start" you will see "speed and reference sensors" The article is ING-02. There are a few other things to check to on there so hopefully that will help you diagnose the problem
