Upper radiator hose split

I have an '87 924S. I was driving home tonight and noticed that my temperature gauge was reading a bit high. Unfortunately, I was stopped by a train and the temp needle made it just into the orange zone. After the train passed I was able to nurse it back home with the gauge reading between the last white dash and the orange area. I got home and noticed that the upper radiator hose had split and was leaking a steady little stream of coolant. The drive home was about 20 minutes with the ambient temperature in the low 60s F and speeds around 45mph, at most. Other than the obvious new hoses, coolant, and bleed, do I need to be concerned that more extensive damage may have occurred?

TIA

Ed

Investigated a little further and noticed that the radiator is loose at the top. Apparently, it flopped backwards and the pulley that lives right behind it rubbed through the upper rad hose. So now I got to fix the "floppy" radiator, too!

The clip that stops the top hose doing that is missing.

There's a clip that holds the hose? I've killed a hose and limped home (without any overheating, luckily) the same way, and almost buzzed through the new one, too. My radiator mounts were all screwed up, though. The PO must have run it up onto something and knocked 'em crooked. Straightened up, there is plenty of clearance. The hose also goes on a particular direction that's not very obvious. It might make the problem worse by installing it backwards.

Hmm, this seems like one of those "who hasn't done it yet" kind of things on these cars. Kind of tricky.

Am I missing a bracket that should mount on those three studs inside the green circle and keep the hose in place?

That is actually a bracket that is also bolted to the airbox to stabilize it. Maybe there's a hose retaining clip that attaches to it, but if there is, then mine is missing.

Would someone mind posting a picture of what is supposed to go there? This is the area between the left headlight and the catch for the hood.
