tried it last week but the shorted module did not work even with being bypassed

may have worked if I bypassed it with the module removed which I understand can be done

The alarm systems on these cars have been the cause of so many problems, factory installed or otherwise. I have seen some dealer installed alarms whose wiring is sketch-city. And when something goes wrong, you're dead in the water..

The "factory" alarm system on 944s was dealer installed. The alarm system on 968s and 964s on is part of the central locking system - not wired in like the ones on 944s.

Just go to your FLAPS and get a leakdown tester. Should be alot easier than having to fabricate something.
