A/C Relay?
so i bought this 1988 944. AC light on the switch lights up, but the a/c doesnt do anything. my question is, if the relay is out will that light still light up?
im trouble shooting. i havent taken a meter yet to it and i have no idea where the relay is.

If the freon level is low, the compressor won't turn on.
You can jump the low pressure shut off by touching the terminals with a small screwdriver when the car is running with the A/C switched on. Most likely since the light comes on that its just low on freon. It's located behind the drivers side headlight (you need to have the lights up to reach it). Don't run it for more than 10 seconds unless you are charging the A/C system. If is comes on, then the relay is OK, if not, then the relay is located with the other relays under the hood, behind the brake master cylinder.
