Quick question about struts

Hey everyone, some guy is selling the koni front struts off of his 86 944 turbo. The struts are in great condition and cartridges are ok, but for 200 bucks, that doesn't matter. My question is will that setup fit on my 87 na? If so, do I have to stay with the koni cartridges, or can i go with another one like boge or kyb? Or should I just do the koni conversion?

Parts are different between '86 (Early offset) and '87 (Late offset).

I think I have heard of people elongating holes in the turbo struts so that they fit on the NA spindles, but putting early offset struts on a late offset car, I wouldn't recommend it.

Opposite of what Keith said.

Late struts will NOT fit on an early car. You would have to change out the spindle, calipers, rotors, etc.

Early struts will fit on a late car, but you have the elongate the holes. For that asking price I wouldn't bother. Spend a little bit more and get brand new ones and do the cut/drill method. Will take about 2 hours to do this yourself with just a hacksaw.
