he can set the gap by placing a short ferrule or plastic bushing in there as a spacer.

It must have felt good to get that out! Nice work, I take it it's unlikely I'm going to get the bracket out then without breaking it?

well dude mines came out out of pure luck, if you could get the sleeve to move a little out then you could just put some pressure on it and it'll come right out then you could just pull out the bracket.

OK, by sleeve you're referring to the bolt sleeve to the right of the reference sensor? This is what stops the bracket from lifting straight up correct. It looks like it might pinch closed enough to slide it out, I guess I will give it a try.

thanks John, if you do not maintain some humor, these cars get depressing when out of commision. Yesterday, Sunday, I got mine back on the road with parts contributions from my brothers, Kevin and Robert. I had pulled the plugs, (bosch platinums), and could measure NO CONTINUITY across the electrode tip and top contact. I had a set of Autolite 65 that I had picked up at an estate sale for $1.00, and they looked the same on Sumday morning so I checked the and got about 7k in resistance, so in they went. The car would then start regulary, but barely ran, like 1000 rpm. Robert came up wioth a cap and rotr, and WALA!!!!!!, she runs like the day I installed the head. Suddenly, I am back in the Porsche, and all those little fixes like window switches and door handles seem important again!

Hello everybody again thanks for looking out, I received the bracket i ordered i started installing it but i rushed on the installation its incredible how much easier it is to install, anyways its started getting dark and i hurried up but after i took a deep breath and cranked the car to no tach bounce and no start my guess is that i prob didn't adjust it properly and that has something to do with it I'm going to tinker with it tomorrow since i know how some time to troubleshoot, the past few days I've been in a bit of a slum the company i work for pulled a dick and Jane on us (anyone who has seen fun with Dick and Jane knows what I'm talking about) then again this is Miami you see people is new Mercedes delivering pizzas nowadays (really I've witnessed it myself) so I haven't been in the mood to work on the Porsche because I'd rather not know its something more serious right now because funds are gonna be very tight from now on, but tomorrow I'll give it a go and maybe i'll get lucky and I'll be able to hear her growl once more. I'll be posting my finding tomorrow so stay tuned

I carefully marked the connectors before starting on my project along this line. Also, check to see if there are any fragments off the connector block broken off in the car side of the connector that would keep the pins from seating properly. the connectors snap together quite soundly.
