after breaking three (fkn THREE!) reducers trying to get lug nuts off of my car after letting punk-boys install some tires (yeah, major mistake) on my car, i have NEVER let any shop touch the lug nuts on my cars. this was AFTER telling them specifically to use a torque wrench at 90 pounds, and they wrote it on the work order. i am still fuming. mind you, these are aluminum lug nuts. how they didn't strip, i have no idea. anyway, i just put the spare wheels/tires on the car and take the wheels/tires to the shop (a locally owned and reputable place) to have the tires changed/repaired. i am much happier. it usually only takes them half an hour to an hour to get whatever i asked to get done. its a win/win. BTW, punk-boys has never received another dime of money for tire work of any kind. i still have the receipt where the MANAGER wrote "use a torque wrench at 90 lbs.".
