backup light switch location

Hey everyone, since I'm off tomorrow, I'll be trying to finally get the backup lights working on my '86 NA 944 so it will pass an inspection. I have a new switch (22mm for a switch? are they serious?) and washer in hand and I'm hoping that replacing the switch will resolve the issue.

From my cursory looks under the car when it is sitting on the ground, I've located what I think is the speedometer pulse wiring, but I'm not seeing the backup light switch and wiring (as the trans-axle is caked in grime and other nastiness). My service manual is missing the trans-axle section, and I'm having difficulty finding a diagram online. Can somebody clue me in to where I should be looking?

It's on the passenger side just behind the axle stub
