Testing a 924 ignition module

I have an ignition module from a 1977-1980 924, part # 0 227 100 010, that I pulled from a running car about five years ago. What I am wondering about is: It there a way to test one of these?

There are six connections, all of which are numbered, and I am thinking that this is likely a matter of voltage goes in to one of them and comes out of the others. I know that sounds maybe too simple, but amazing things can be done with a continutiny tester if you know how to use it.

Does anyone know if this unit can be tested short of buying a 1977 to 1980 924 to plug it into?
