Unhappy 1986 VDO Gauges not working!!! HELP!

I recently took out my instrument cluster to change the lights so it would be brighter. After i changed the bulbs I put the instrument cluster back in but it it does not work now. I don't know what happened and it is really frustrating? everything is hooked up and no fuses blew? please help?

I hope it is not serious. Did you recheck the grounds up under the dash? Did you reconnect the battery when you took off the cables to begin?
