I'm having trouble with my 86 porsche. It has fuel and it cranks fine but it has no spark. I checked the coil and the coil gets power but I still get no spark when I try and crank it over. I have also switched coils and used three different ones to see if the coil was bad but none of them gave a spark. I just put a chip from FR Wilk in my car, a very well know 944 chip maker and I just want to get it started and running before I have surgery and can't drive it for a while. I also checked my dme relay and replaced it but still the same thing. Could someone please help me Its my second car and second 944

I guess to me if the coil is fine and you have no spark at each plug. I'd pull and check the Rotor and Distributor cap for missing metal or something really wrong. It is mechanical, so if the Coil works you should get sparks from the 4 plug wires or the rotor is not transfering the spark. That's where I would start.
Does this have an Alarm? Alarms will often split/disable the Green wire on the Coil so it is not connected to ground. This makes car turn over fine but not start.
