Just graduated with my BS in Mechanical Engineering from UW Madison

I am so happy! I just graduated with a BS in Mechanical Engineering from UW Madison. It has been a long time dream of mine which I have been working hard to make come true. I have been in school part time for 9 years prior to going full time at UW Madison 3.5 years ago.

So far my educational lineup is;

4 year Apprenticeship in Plastic Injection Molding
Associates in Plastic Injection Molding
Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering

While at UW Madison I focused on internal combustion engines and design. My major project I spearheaded was conversion of a IC engine to run on gas phase propane injection utilizing MicroSquirt engine management. In the end the engine ran well and had excellent throttle response. I was very pleased with the outcome.

I am in job search mode but have an appointment with one of my professors about a potential Graduate School position in the Engine Research department at UW Madison.

Keep an ear to the ground for me regarding a design position.

Regards,
Speedy

Congratulations, i finished up back in May of this year, ME also in marine engineering. Also got my USCG 3rd a/e license back in January. 5 years of work came together finally. It was nice waking up that first month off and remembering i never have to do stupid projects, calculus (differential equations..ugh), ridiculous electrical engineering problems and the always awful statics and dynamics problems ever again!

Congratulations are in order to you all. May your days ahead be full of accomplishments and you enjoy going to work each and every day. Set realistic goals and you will reap the rewards. Life itself is like a bio-rhythm, there are always the ups and downs. Many people have remarked that I must have a BS Degree in many things, my answer has always been "No, I have a MBS Degree, Master Bull Sh**er Degree." I'm 69 years young and still learning each and every day.

"MERRY CHRISTMAS and a HAPPIER NEW YEAR"

Cheers,
Larry

Speedy,

Super congrats. However, I'd wait a bit before buying the Testarossa.

How did you know?

I looked at a 1990 Testarossa today and liked it very much.

Thanks Rich.

I am hoping to get some wrench time in with 944S V8 conversion. I had my neighbor weld up a trailer tongue to the front of your old 85.5 so I can hitch it to my tractor and move it into the shop to strip down.

Brad,
A Dragon trip sound so nice right now as it has been since 2006. Life just got way to busy while in school.

To everybody,
I have not been around the board much while in school but I have been able to attend many944s wrenching parties to help keep me connected. I appreciate all the kind words.

Speedy
