progress??(no snow please! not yet..)

i finally got my b&b header(86 951-had it for three months drove for two weeks!) it took them 2 months to get it to me. i did that, cambox seals, fuel inj. seals(you have to remember that!)plugs, magnacore wires,cap,rotor,etc.....started it up and it had a dead miss. checked spark-good.checked fuel spray-good. to make a long miserable story short, i found a bent valve, broken boost control unit, and a few broken rubber lines. im getting the parts this week, hopefully i can put my baby together again this week. i think im going to miss all the boost i was getting!! just had to share my story with the people who can share the pain.indsey racing is a cool company to deal with, they were extremely helpful and took time to explain what i needed. i got the manual boost controller-although i want the dual stage controller/wastegate. they

the cam was in the wrong position when my mechanic bolted it on and torqued it down. i was under the car putting the bolts in the header, and didnt see it. i was told about it later. he realized his mistake before finishing the bolts, and reset the position. it was tight enough to bend the #1 intake valve, however. it was in the proper position when we started the motor, too late. oh well, time for that 5 angle valve job....
