Another engine oil level light thread....

A little different from the rest. My electrical issues with temp sensor and voltmeter readings and starting issues seem to have been resolved with installing a new engine ground cable.

On start up and idle there are no warning lights on. However when the engine is revved up to 3k rpm the oil level warning and "!" come on. Pressure is good and oil level is full.

Any thoughts? Where is the level sensor located? I might just disconnect it.

There are two wires just below the oil filter, seperate them a little. My car was doing that blinking like crazy.

Sounds like a ground issue.
I would consider cleaning the instrument cluster grounding stud and all brown wire spade connections under dash. Since the Oil pressure is reading good then I would assume the engine is grounded. They make their grounds from different places.

When you add RMP's you increase the charge/voltage being created by alternator. This means that a marginal ground connection is bogged down trying to return the current and can cause a spike in resistance.

The one on my 924S is fine, as long as the car does not move after being started. But soon after the car starts moving, the light starts to blink. What's up with that?
