no abs in rain... hit pole... need help
This morning after a light rain I was coming up on a 90 degree left hand turn at 25-30mph i started braking pretty soon and slowed o about 20-25 and maybe 5-10 ft before the intersection my wheels locked- 83n/a- and I slid all the way through the intersection hardly decelerating the whole way and my front left side(just shy of the headlight) hit the pole of a traffic light. The bumper is pushed in 1/2-3/4 of an inch, the front quarter panel is indented enough that on the inside it hits the light and the after trying to turn on the light it doesn't pop up. Alignment feels completely normal and i believe it is all cosmetic. Oh yea... the hood has shifted about 1/8-1/4 inch to the passanger side. So... for the quarter panel, bumper and hood alignment, about how much would that cost. The worst damage is the quarter panel and it probably can't be banged out.
Thanks alot for any info... and how could I have freed the wheels?- pumped the brake.. or not braked ant tried to steer out of the way? thanks in advance for input Pat
