What do you think 23mm 7s, 8s fuchs worth?

I am out of the loop on what fuchs are worth these days. I sold my 930 set for 1500 but have no idea on these. They came off my 86 951, 23mm offset, 7s ,and 8s with decent tires. They were painted red and look OK but not perfect.

thoughts? Mike

I pic on the car..

^^ Looking at the same question ask on other forums the price could range from $600.oo to $900.oo depending on the condition of the wheels.

15" or 16" ? Location ?

Seems like 15" Fuchs are easier to find in Calif, since there are a fair amount of broken 944's out here that have the 15" Fuchs. Whole cars go for $500 all the time. You would probably do better selling them in a VW or 911 forum.

They are 16"s as that is needed to clear the turbo brakes.

5 years ago I paid $800 for wheels like you mentioned, only black, not red. I put them on my 911.

imho, its the 8's that are the money wheel. 911 folks like them because they can fit up front. then they put 9's on the rear. The biggest drawback, nowadays to 16" is the limited tire choices.

951 8's were only made 1 year and as such, aren't as numerous as the 911 8s or 9s.

They may not be original to the 951 but they are porsche original. The fact that they are red tells the same tell IMHO. I have 911 guys just wanting the 8s like you mentioned.

Cheers, Mike

Can you get some closer up pictures? If you are shipping they don't need to go out this weekend... I was just thinking weekend for a trip to get them.... Anyways... lets see some more pictures... and they would ship to 73620 and we have a freight dock and all that bs that makes shipping cheaper....

In 1986 only, Fuchs wheels were an option on the 944 Turbo. The 8x16 rears with the 951 part number are the only 8" that will fit the front of 911s, as the extra inch is on the inside of the wheel. The 8x16 with a 911- part number is a deeper dish, and will rub badly on the outside of a 911's fender.

In 1987, the 944 went to the late offset, and Fuchs were no longer available.

Also would you be willing to knock the tires off of them? I would want new rubber before I put them on the ground... Will save lots of weight too...

If those are the 951 Fuchs I've almost paid $1000 for a set in really rough shape, but they went to someone else in the matter of hours, plus the 911 guys love those wheels

i sold a set of those 86 951 fuchs wheels in pretty decent shape for $1000 to a 911 guy. he was happy with that price. i figured about $150 for each of the fronts and $350 for each of the rears.
p.s. this is the technical forum, not the for sale forum. we are giving honest opinions of what they are worth because he is doing his homework.

So the 23MM offset for the 8s will fit on the front of the 911s.... make sense now. I need to dig them out and look at the part number....Thanks, Mike

+2 on the homework, There are so many versions of the wheels it gets mindbogling some times.
