shift light affecting rev limiter?
Since connecting some shift lights, the 944 cuts out at 5600 rpm (indicated)instead of 6400 or so. The green shifter light wire is piggybacked onto the green tach signal wire. Anybody have experience with this?
I'm not sure if the engine is hitting redline but the tach says 5600..... ...or the shiftlights are affecting the rev limiter? |

Dissconect the shift light and then see what you have.

Looks like the tach signal is getting loaded down by it. I would suggest connecting it directly to the negative coil wire to eliminate the issue.
