Having trouble identifying this part number.
I have a crank here with part number 944 201 509. Trying to determine what car it belongs to. I googled it nothing and even in PET i cant find it. I have the 944 86-88 PET. Thanks.

That's a casting number, not a part number. If someone somewhere has a list of that stuff, that someone is likely in Germany.
Measuring the journals and comparing it to a known 2.5 crank should get you most of the way there, though, right?

*Breaks out the dial caliper* The rod journals are different sizes from crank to crank? Or just the rod journal offset from the main journal?
