Need BBS wheel offset numbering info

does the numbering on a BBS wheel indicate offset. For instance, a 16 x 8" BBS wheel will say 8jx16et56. Does the 56 refer to a 56mm offset?

Hi John,
On all my (german) wheels, the ET is the offset. I dunno what is ET the acronym of, but it does define the offset.
