Windage?
Question for my ongoing 2.8 turbo build - I have the option to have windage porting performed as part of the machine work on the block, although personally I don't know if this is really necessary given that I'll be incorporating a crank scraper (which is a far cheaper option also). Does anyone out there have a specific recommendation regarding this?

I know Ishihara-Johnson has some nice units for the 2.5, including some with teflon scraper inserts.

I'll check that out. Otherwise I was going to try and adapt one.
I'm guessing if I get a decent scraper I can pass on the $500 windage porting, which is really the basis of my question.

IJ has windage trays which are also very nice.
