FYI: Found ad for '79 928 f/s on craigslist.

For those of you who may be semi-local and feel inclined to take a gamble...

I have no connection to the poster, nor the time or funds to check it out,
so I'm just passing this along to the appropriate set of p-car lovin' maniacs
like yourselves.

Porsche 928 V8

You guys don't seem to know much about 928,this an early ROW car, even as an auto it will haul ASS,migth have been sitting there for 10 years but those cookies are tuff & for the asking price could be a very good project for somebody who could DIY most of the work on it,and if the car like mention was in storage & out of the elements could be in decent shape.

The '78 & '79 928s are crap. I wouldn't bother. If you're going to get a 928, save up and get a GTS, or at the very least a 32V model.

Holy jeeps!

Well, I'm not dissin' the potential for a tasty project.

I just can't help but consider the state of my current dream project,
which has a grip on me like a loan shark.

But yeah you got me,
if I had 1500 bones lying around I'd probably be emailing the guy instead of
whinin'.

Still, Florida does have some crazy spiders that love to nest in my 951.
It gives me the creeps to consider what might be lying in wait in
all those little nooks and crannies.
