thinking some more about this, i remember finding that one end of the sway bar had come completely out of its rubber grommet. it would sometimes clunk when turning hard or when i hit an incline, like the beginning of a driveway.

Im going to check the sway bar brackets. It is definitely the front though, no question. Not the CV joints :) My 24S had that terrible noise...I also noticed on the way back from class that it seems to happen each direction I turn, as well as when I'm hitting the brakes almost at a stop

hmmm...... ball joints.
edit: sway bar brackets also sound possible. OH HELL! if it is doing this at stops, you need to check the bolts securing the A-arms to the frame/body of the car. (ask me how i know....) |
