Pelican Parts Kit
I see that paragon sells a kit for the 944 that includes koni shocks/springs/sway bars/bushings.... for about $2k.
I don't see anything listed here, am i not looking in the right place? Oh i am looking specifically for the 944 spec racing. I would love Bilstein but it isn't allowed.

might also try the lindsey racing site. Not sure what the Spec Racing rules allow though.

Two words - Elephant Racing.
Pelican is awesome for just about everything you'll need for typical repairs, restoration, etc. but if you want suspension setups, Elephant is top of the heap.

Bilsteins are allowed:
14.3 Shocks Shocks must be either the original factory installed shocks or the following models and part numbers. Custom valving is not allowed. 1) Koni Front: 8641-1038 Sport, 8641-1414 Sport Rear: 26-1209 Sport, 8040-1035 Sport 2) Bilstein Front P30-0104 Rear: B36-0161, B36-2052 See http://www.nasaproracing.com/rules/944_spec_rules.pdf The Bilstein's were possibly going to be made illegal but as of this year the Advisory is removed. The deal from Paragon is a kit they specifically put together for the 944Spec group - I haven't heard of anyone else that puts together a complete spec legal kit.

Ah yes thanks for reminding me. I did see that they were going to make the bilstein illegal so that is why i had my mind set on Koni.
Thanks for the heads up.

I thought I'd heard (may be old news) that the Bilstein HD's that are legal weren't as good as the Koni's for damping with those high spring rates... (I don't know, I'm not running that setup).

Not many run the Bilsteins but at least one National Champion won running them (Charlie Buzetti). I also have no personal knowledge of them.
