option code 981

picked up a 1987 na yesterday has anyone seen this interior code 981? stiching on the lower dash console and door panels are different than my 951 here are the option codes Radio "Charleston"
425 Rear wiper
454 Automatic speed control
650 Sunroof
981 All leather lining
983 Leather seats front and rear
983 Leather seats front (NOT REAR)

It is a rather rare option and IMO a very nice one.

I have that interior in my 951.

Also the M983 option for a 944 IIRC denotes front an rear leather seats.
