New breakdown story

Driving to work dozy in the morning and my oil light starts flashing, look at the oil presure gauge and it's at 2 at highway RPMs. Usually at arould 3. Now look at the temp gauge ant it's maxed. Get it off the road to a near by lot. Open the hood and it's like a a fog with a lot of hissing and steam. So i leave it and walk the 6 miles to work. Should have called a taxy. Did't think it was that far. Dolleyed it home that night and it seems to start okafter verifying the oil level is correct and no water or foam. No ruff idle.

What's with the weird oil gauge and presure meter thing?

Suspect a coolant hose but there all new?

i would be worried about my head gasket if i were you. also, you didn't mention if you checked the coolant level after bringing it home. oil gauge dropping low (if you dont have a leak or bad bearings) could be the crank bolt walking off, if i am not mistaken, which i would also check asap.

Oil pressure may have just been down because the oill was overheated. That would be my guess. Figure out the coolant leak first.
