Update

She wears red very well with a little clay bath and some moisture wax she shines up very well. Lets give her a name: Miss Brick house, with her sexy lines and her bulging hips who could not take a second look. But be careful when she steps onto the asphalt and lights up her LSD this little four banger mite make you wonder. I know keep my day job HA HA .

So as you can tell I am enjoying the last four days with my new addition to the Hp stables. I was ready four a list of work that included a new fender, headlight and turn
and some paint. Also on my list was to go from front to back of the car and change fluids
filters brakes. etc. But what I was not prepared for was the fact that my 968 had a S2 motor in it!!!!! So after some research and feedback from you guys here I found out everything I every wonted to know about the S2 motor. Fact is its a great motor. most of the parts I had gotten to do the chain tensioners, cam belts. seals, water pump all worked on this motor. This weekend with the great help and service from V2rocket.on the belts we got this car completely ready to rock and roll and that she did. The test drive was wide open and she did not let me down, this Motor pulls hard and runs great. Much faster than my 86 N/A car. It feels very solid in many ways maybe not as nimble as my 944 but defiantly smooth down the road. But wow when you hit it it goes very good. and sounds so cool.
Many felt I should go hit the seller up for money but this guy I think did not know himself. As I mentioned he had not really driven the car. like many he had got it as a project but hard times and divorce put this car on the back burner and than up for sale. I am overjoyed with the purchase of the car. Today it passed Calif, smog and now has come out of 6 years of none operational status. In a short time I have put 128 miles on the car and can say its a great deal whether its a 968/S2 or a S2/968 look this LSD confirmed 968 puts a smile on my face. Who knows maybe in a year our so I will pick up a 968 varioram motor. But for now call it what you will. Its part of my collection and I will enjoy it. I know I don't have the extra 30 HP but to be honest I have 600 Hp in the bay next to it and another 350 two bays over. sorry but 236 wont make my day. But the way it pulls and gets up and goes for a DD car is better than perfect it makes going to work fun.

To date what has been done in the shadows of my little garage:
Bake fluid, clutch fluid all flushed, fuel filter, new brake pads, trans oil flush. engine oil first change will get another in about 1000 miles. Tires are all new by seller, Washed complete interior, New cam belt. balance belt. all front seals, New Water pump, Valve cover paint. seals and gasket. will be doing ramps soon. New power steering belt. Purchased great condition red front hood, used fender and headlight fixture to get ready for body repair next week. which will also be done in my garage.
My investment to date not including my labor Under 5K. I work for cheap. hell its my car.
Car still needs; new sway bar bushing, new ball joint, Power steering pump leaks form its front seal can that be changed????? maybe new motor mount.
Install paint fender and front apron. and I am done back to very stock condition.
Again thanks to Alex at Pression Tech Motorsports & V2rocket aka944 for the great tips and support.

baby shark - tips don't list a code for lsd - it seems that it's just part of the box, and not an option - i.e., you can't get one without it

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/support/smileys/clap.gif___Looking good ,interior look pretty darn decent and you did a good job on the valve cover,a little (Meguiar's vinyl/rubber conditioner #40) should bring back your engine compartement plastic trims & rubber in decent looking condition. For your signal ligth if you can't find any try Sunset import 1-800-346-0182 ,they are located in Oregon ask for Luke ,I just bougth a set of Euro one a couple month ago price was $139.00 for the set so (one US model ligth) should be pretty cheap. Take care have fun.

Wow, saw this on craigslist and tried to get a friend to buy it. Sounds like you're happy with it and that's what matters!
