performance upgrade..?

My friend in Europe has referred this company to me...http://www.dtafast.co.uk/ I don't really know very much about the mod on throttle body and manifold, so I am hoping to get some more information from folks on this board. Here r my questions: Does anyone here had the experience on the mod for the manifold and throttle body? Or any experience with this company? Will the individual throttle body make a big difference on the 944? My car is a 88 944S. Greatly appreciated for any opinion and advise.

I think you'll benefit more from a company the specializes in Porsches...that company's scope looks pretty broad. I see you're in California, you can try contacting Extrude Hone [this is based on the assumption that Pelican does NOT work with intake manifolds] to have your intake smoothed out and there are places that can bore out your throttle too. I'm not sure how the 16 valve S head flows in comparison to the 968 head but the general opinion out there claims the head outflows the intake tract. I'll be trying these things this summer, in addition to cams and AFPR to supplement the needed fuel.

Thanks for the input. However, isn't the main idea of this mod is to have individual throttle body for each cyliner? I had a BMW E30 M3 before, and the M3 come with individual throttle bodies for each cylinder. That's what I am looking for. Maybe my question sounds stupid cause I really don't know very much about how these thing works. I only know that more throttle bodies for each cylinders seems to help gain horsepower. Also, would you please post the contact information of Extrude Hone? Thanks for the reply.

Jon Milledge has exactly what you're looking for, custom built for the 944. But it isn't cheap. I'd say this is something that would only be worthwhile on a dedicated race car. If you really want it, you can check it out here: http://www.jmengines.com/throttle.htm

I checked out the JM Engines site, nice looking setup, but look at the cost for what you get. They quote a 30 HP improvement on a 400 HP 944 turbo (wow someone is alreading spending ALOT of cash), that's 7.5%. They don't quote a price for the turbo set-up, I'm sure it's higher than the $4600 they do quote for that sweet looking NA set-up, which they don't quote any HP increase numbers.... strange, makes me believe the NA set-up has less increase percentagewise than the numbers they quote for the turbo. If your getting around 200 HP out of your 944S, and IF it produces the same 7.5% increase of power, you might end up at 215 HP for about $5000 if you do the labor yourself, I'm assuming a porting job is going to be needed also to make the change effective. My guess is that you will find alternatives ways to achieve a similar increase by utilizing the existing intake manifold, doing a port job, adding or changing injectors, and maybe some of computer remapping which would cost far less. A 400 HP turbo engine has already had all that kinda stuff done, so this really is for people that are truly maxing it out.

PORSCHE G-96, this is an ALERT,you have crossed the bounderies and agents are now within 16.5 miles of your location and have been empowered to slather your "braided fuel lines with ROAD TAR". Any effort to thwart the agents or their mission will be dealt with accordingly. I know this because the new readyness office in DC just flashed RED as a definate alert against Pelican sabbotage.

Well, no offense to the board, but Pelican does not offer the same type of the products which you guys've referred. So what's the big deal about it anyway..? By the way, G96. Great thanks!!
