Clutch issue
Hi all! I have a 78' Porsche 924 that has not been driven for the past 3 months as I was doing some body repair in my spare time. I finished the re-assembly of the body today and was going to back it outside to wash and now my clutch seems to be frozen in the engaged position. When I try to start the car in gear with the clutch pedal pushed in, it lurches as the the pedal was not pressed. Sorry I cant give more details at the moment (I currently am working alone and have no one to help). I will post me details later, once I have a second set of hands. I last drove the car in May so it seems strange to me that it would freeze up this quickly. I have had no clutch issues previously and I have owned the vehicle for a year or so.
What steps should I try to release the clutch? Is this a common problem among 924's? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

The disc is frozen to the flywheel. . .not a 924 problem, an old neglected car problem. Try to start it in first then go off and off the gas with pedal depressed and it should break free.

Have you checked your clutch cable?

Done a bit more looking...
-The engine will start in neutral but when I go to put in in gear it grinds. -The clutch cable does move and the shaft going into the bell housing also move but only a small amount. I assume this is normal.

Have you adjusted the clutch lever per Haynes page 144?

I got the clutch loose today. Thanks Rasta Monsta, your method work.
I know I need to replace my clutch in the near future, but I am going to put it off just a little bit longer as I have just put a lot of money and time in to the car Thanks all for the help

I'd give it a little burn at this point. . .long slow start in 2nd with lots of slip.
