Wheel and tire size 1988 951
Hello
first of all... i am not good with offset and back spacing... i mean i dont know what could fit on my car and what tire size fit on theses. I want to change my wheels. what is the maximum offset i can have 15x7 and 15x10 15x8 and 15x11 what tire size would that mean? (i want them to be stretched a bit)

None of the wheels listed will fit, they are all early offset. Probably between 10-20mm. You need something atleast 45mm or so to fit correctly.

Why would you want to retro fit 15" wheel on a 951 is beyond me,hope you know that you'll be very limited in the choice of tires for them.Even with 16" it's getting very hard to find decent tires that will do the proper job on your 951,so suggest that you look for 17" & go from there. You will then have a geater choice of wheels to choose from plus choice of tires.Stay

You'll have a tough time finding any 15in wheels that will adequately clear 951 brakes.

The easiest (cheapest?) upgrade tends to be 996/boxster wheels in 17" diameter. Why? because 15's wont fit and tire brands/sizes are limited in 16".. plus, the "late offset" used by the 1988 951 is similar to the boxster/996 offsets!

had the same problem with my subaru 4 pots brake.
i like to run smaller tires, but its true that with the 951 even 16" is not enought. i like the old models style... none in 17"... ill keep my phone dials i supose. anyway taking out the engine for now (preventive care)
