968 experts... need some input

I have a friend that is doing a 968 motor into a 924S conversion. Question that has come up is this. "There is some sort of gear pattern on the 968 clutch for a sensor that feeds the computer." Not sure if he descibes it just right. The pattern might be on the flywheel but I am not sure that is why I am asking for some input here. Anyone know what this is. Is it similar to the system used on the 931 for engine management? Got any suggestions on how to adapt this to a 924S? The engine comes with DME and wire harness. Just need to figure out what clutch to use and with what transmission/clutch/torque tube to minimize costs. Yes easy thing to do would be to pop for the 968 6 speed.... but that is $3K plus!

Anyone want to help on this project?

Thanks

Eric

this is mostly a bump type post because i dont know much about this but this is what i THINK

you will prolly need to use the 968 clutch/flywheel/bellhousing, becuase the bellhousing is bigger than the 944 bell housing you will also need the shorter torque tube of the 968, but i believe you can leave the 944 tranny on there.....

post some pics of the project if you can, that would be sweet, and good luck
