Correct belly pan gill direction?
Are my belly pan gills correct here?? The front right gill is angled upwards into the engine bay while the rest are slotted but angled downward aerodynamically with the car's underside. I've done a fair amount of pan review here and elsewhere but haven't seen anything regarding the correct angling of the gills (and for the record, I'm keeping the pan and agree it serves a true design purpose other than just keeping dirt out). The angling of the front right gill doesn't appear to have been forced which makes me wonder if it's part of the design for cooling, etc.?? just seems like it may introduce debris into the pulley and belt system. Should this wayward gill be corrected to match the others??

The steel unit that preceeded this one on the 924 had all the slots in the same configuration. My S has this aluminum one, but is so beat up it will be hard to tell how it left the factory.
I will take a look.

Fascinating. John, is that a whole book of TSBs? Is it yours?
On a related note, does the plastic pan have a "mount cooling intake" as well?

That is interesting. All models? And are they still available somewhere?

PTB's are really handy, I have the 1988 & 1989 volumes, along with the FSM's and all the factory update manuals for the FSM's.
