How/where does the DME mount?
Hi Everybody,
I'm a long-time reader but a first-time poster. I got myself a 1989 N/A project car that was literally in pieces when I bought it. The dash, carpets, seats, etc. are out of the car, I'm starting to re-assemble the interior but don't know how the DME mounts to the car. I'm also confused about a 1/2" thick piece of black plywood with four holes and a strip of velcro on it. I think it attaches to the bottom of the carpet but I'm not sure how/where it mounts to the vehicle. This is my 4th 944, all have been N/A's and this is my second 89. On the others I've done the clutch and the FOES twice each but I've never seen the DME on any of them. Your help is appreciated, thanks! VOTS ![]() ![]() |

there is a wide "H" shaped metal plate below the plywood floor board that the DME mounts to...All of this is at the end of the passengers floor where it goes vertical.

Thanks to both of you for responding.
After seeing the pictures, I went looking for that bracket and found it in one of the boxes of parts that came with the car. Mystery solved! On to the next thing on the list... VOTS |
