Engine won't turn...help?

1985.5 non-turbo, ran well until New Year's and has been on jackstands for various repairs since. Was chasing down a coolant leak, so I installed the flywheel lock, took the balance/timing belts, pulleys, etc. off to get a good look at the water pump (new last July). Was satisfied it wasn't leaking so I put it all back together today. With belts on and I believe everything properly torqued+timed I took the lock off and went to hand crank the motor a few times (using crank bolt, to check timing) and it will not budge. At all, in either direction. No movement whatsoever.

I'm baffled. The lock if off, tranny is out of gear, everything should be hooked up correctly. The car spent a considerably longer stretch in the same condition last Winter and cranked up no problem, first try when I put back on the road last year.

I'm hoping someone will see what I'm clearly not seeing?

Thanks for any help...

I'll take the moron award on the day. Timing drive gear was on backwards, so the outer flange was locked against the rear belt cover. All good now...

I made this mistake the first time I did my belt change and the engine wouldn't move.
